| Faith Lutheran Church and Peoria-Stark and Tazewell County Thrivent Chapters Partner to Benefit His Helping Hands Ministry with "Faith's Treasures" - November 2005 | |
| The second annual
"Faith's Treasures" was held on Saturday, November
5th,
2005. Crafts, cookies, crocheting and other handcrafted
items
were sold to benefit His Helping Hands, a Peoria area home repair ministry.
Organizer, Darlene Dixon, and many members of Faith Lutheran Church
in Washington, Illinois, as well as other friends and supporters of
His Helping Hands worked for months collecting and making
hand-crafted items to be sold at the event. With supplemental
funds from the Tazewell and Peoria-Stark County Thrivent Chapters, Volunteers raised
over $4200
for the work of His Helping Hands. The third annual "Faith's
Treasures" is planned for Fall 2006. |
